PALAZZO VERSACE DUBAI ANNOUNCES SHAMEKA DWIGHT’S COMEBACK

PALAZZO VERSACE DUBAI ANNOUNCES SHAMEKA DWIGHT’S COMEBACK TO Q’S BAR AND LOUNGE

Shameka Dwight returns to Q’s Bar & Lounge as the lead of her all-female band. Her talent as a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer are all evident in her first album-Lovelations. Shameka will begin her residency at Q’s Bar and Lounge from August 22nd to November 2nd.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 2019: Shameka Dwight, is truly multi-talented with a stellar record as an American singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. Her debut album Lovelations, has led others to describe her music as refreshing, organic, authentic, and meaningful through songs like Roses Have Thorns, Always and Love Is.

Shameka’s ability to mix folk, jazz, and pop styles resulted in a sound that’s vintage, rich, and soulful. Topics of love, struggle, and self-worth continue to be the inspiration behind her writing. Shameka is currently working on new releases, to be expected this year. Lovelations is also available on all digital media outlets. She will be joined in Dubai by Tiffani on drums, Natalie Dariné on guitar and Drin on keys.

The new resident artist at Q’s Bar and Lounge has also collaborated with an array of producers and writers and has scored a number of song placements on independent artists’ records. She partnered with Jeep for the nationwide “Release Your Renegade” campaign under the moniker Uri Grey, as an artist to watch out for. Her original song “Blend Out” was featured in the campaign, along with a 30-second visual commercial that was distributed on jeep.com and other internet sites.

She has appeared on a number of TV productions including the BET Awards, the American Music Awards, Stand up 2 Cancer, and most recently CBS presents Aretha! A Grammy Celebration for the Queen of Soul. She also appeared in Ariana Grande’s “God is a Woman” music video.

This songstress has always been one of Quincy Jones’ favorite artists, so requesting her to reappear at his very own, Q’s Bar and Lounge at the Palazzo Versace Dubai, was a natural choice!

Quincy Jones has a lot of love for this talented artist: ““It absolutely makes my soul smile to have the lovely Shameka return to my Q’s Bar & Lounge again, but this time, she’ll be taking center stage! She’s got the soul, the swag, and most importantly, she can SING! I’m also incredibly honored to be welcoming her all-female band, and man, let me tell you…they can PLAY!! Keep on keepin’ on Dubai, and thank you for helping me welcome these talented artists night after night! Let’s keep the music playing!”

Shameka will perform at Palazzo Versace’s fully soundproofed, all around leather interior jazz lounge-Q’s Bar & Lounge that offers high quality comfort food with a wide selection of rare and fine beverages.
