As part of its expansion across the GCC, GANT opens its doors in Oman for the first time in its 70 year history.

Muscat, Oman — American born and Europian raised, the leading American lifestyle brand, GANT, is set to commence its expansion in the GCC with the opening of its first store in Muscat City Centre – Oman. Opening on 15th July 2019, the brand’s first location in the Sultanate will offer seasonal apparel that caters to the needs of the modern preppy gentlemen.

Born in the US in 1949, GANT mixes its American sportswear heritage with a sophisticated European touch. Today, the brand celebrates a strong presence in the region with thirty-one stores across the GCC. It is a brand built on the values of authenticity, quality, sport and timeless good taste, and it continues to develop and define comfortable, style-conscious clothing. Despite this, the company hasn’t forgotten its origins.

With a vision to foster lifelong learning, the brand’s credo has always been “never stop learning.” Brian Gevy, GANT CEO, comments on the opening: “Our vision has remained the same since the beginning. It defines GANT’s reason for being and is the fundamental reason as to why we come to work every day and why we are passionate about what we do.”
This year GANT is celebrating 70 years as a preppy American Sportswear brand, founded on the East Coast of America and now has a presence in 70 markets worldwide. GANT’s 70- year anniversary will be celebrated throughout the entire year, starting with honoring its seven decades through the seven iconic pieces; the Button-Down Shirt, the Club Blazer, the Chino Pant, the Piqué, the Heavy Rugger, the GANT Varsity Jacket and the Cable Knit.
