Spotify announced as official music partner of this year’s much awaited Mawazine festival
The world’s largest streaming service collaborates with one of the biggest festivals in the world, giving music fans access to Mawazine’s official 2019 playlists!
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the number one music festival in the Middle East and North Africa, the ‘Mawazine Festival Rhythms of the World’ returns with its highly anticipated 18th edition on Friday, June 21st – Saturday the 29th in Morocco’s capital, Rabat.
To add even greater regional and global exposure to Morocco’s high-profile event, Mawazine has partnered with the world’s largest music streaming service, Spotify, connecting fans to the biggest and greatest hits from this year’s stellar line-up regardless of where they are in the world. The collaboration also aims to showcase some of Morocco’s most talented artists, placing them on the global map.
Whether attending or experiencing festival FOMO (fear of missing out) from afar, music lovers and entertainment seekers can play tracks and discover artists performing at Mawazine, simply by visiting the festival’s official page on Spotify.
Throughout the 18-year history of the festival, Mawazine was home to over 1,300 artists since its inception in 2001. Whitney Houston, Rihanna, Nancy Ajram, and Justin Timberlake are among the few legendary names to have graced the stage.
This year is no exception as the diverse line-up features phenomenal Arab and African artists alongside the biggest international stars. You can catch Morocco’s finest acts Zouhair Bahaoui, Lbenj, Zina Daoudia and more at Sale Beach. If you are into oriental rhythms, Myriam Fares, Abu, and Ramy Ayach will be taking over Nahda Space. Further, global megastars performing this year include Travis Scott, Maluma, Marshmello and Migos.
To those attending or sadly missing out, please visit the official Mawazine page on Spotify, and listen to the amazing playlists available.
