Workshops to Educate and Innovate
12-noon until 5pm
Workshops at Planet Modhesh have been designed to develop children’s creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and teach them to be forward-thinking about technology.
• DIY Solar-Powered Car
Participants will build a solar-powered car using solar panels and electronic components. The car moves when it is exposed to sunlight.
• ESA Mobile-Controlled Robot
Children will be taught how to create a cool human-shaped robot. They can control their creations with a mobile app.
• Vision-Based AI Workshop
Learn how AI gadgets respond to things around them and see it change colour based on your smile.
• Make Makey Workshop
Participants will be guided into using bananas, aluminium foil, and disposable cups on regular keyboards and controllers of a computer. Children will be able to play games and music on the computer just by using these objects.
A variety of activities, ranging from the more traditional arts and crafts to digitally enhanced engagements and edutainment workshops will also be running every day at Planet Modhesh. Kids can create their very own solar panel wind chimes, telescopes with coloured paper, and aliens with clay and crayons, daily from 10am.
Teenagers can take a seat for friendly challenges in the e-gaming zone, while youngsters can get active in the Peddle Battle game where they will have to cycle stationary bikes to save the planet.
