Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 15, 2019 – Afterlife, one of the classiest gastropub, opened its door at Souk Al Bahar, Downtown. With a rarest combination of Turkish – Indian delicacies, the new gastropub stands out for its unique creation of cocktails & mocktails and an extensive selection of exotic range of Shisha flavors with an exhilarating view of Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa.


Afterlife offers its guests with a chilled-out vibe and a bit of everything. With the inhouse DJ, one can expect late night grooves right through ’til the early hours. Behind the attractive bar counter is the legendary mixologist all the way from India, Shatbhi Basu, creating beautiful cocktails and mixing drinks. This place is for connoisseurs.

The concept is thought & visualized by Sandeep Goenka and executed by Raajiv Nathany – the duo from Kolkata, India with an experience of more than 3 years in the F&B industry. The outlet is designed by ace designers from India – Pratyay Chakrabarti & Devesh Bhatia, and executed by Yousuf Shiekh of RNY Engineering, Dubai.

The gastropub presents a unique combination of Indian and Turkish flavors to Dubai. It brings together first-class chefs for its guests to experience some of the finest food creations and irresistible cocktail concoctions.

The food concept is by Chef Amit Puri, presenting a unique fusion of Indian and Turkish delicacies which resonates with the Mughal Era taking a trip to ancient Indian times.
India’s legendary Basu is on board with the food concept and complimenting it well by creating some classy cocktails with the Turkish & Indian ingredients.

Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Goenka, Director of Afterlife said, “We are extremely thrilled for the launch of Afterlife. The concept is relatively new and we cannot wait to showcase what we have in store for our guests. I am quite excited to see how the guests like the fusion of two different culinary traditions.
