Round 3 of Yas Racing Series includes the TRD 86 Cup, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge and Formula 4 UAE, plus others

Off-track entertainment includes track and pit garage tours and prizes up for grabs with the fun Pit Stop Challenge competition

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, January 30, 2019: Yas Marina Circuit will see one of its largest motorsport weekends taking place on this Friday and Saturday.

The Circuit will welcome back the third round of Yas Racing Series, packed with the largest array of motorsport entertainment of 2019 as the popular weekend returns to the home of the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX.

Across the two days, Yas Marina Circuit will see a range of international, regional and local motor racing competitions take to the iconic F1® Circuit, including Yas Marina Circuit’s single-make championship TRD 86 Cup, the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge ME, TCR Middle East as well as Hankook 4H Abu Dhabi and Gulf Sportscar Championship.

Kicking off the motorsport action at 9am on Friday 1 February will be the Gulf Sportscar Championship, followed by two full days of on-track action for fans of every motoring discipline.

Off-track, race fans of all ages will get the change to enjoy a Track Tour on Friday at 12:30pm. Yas Marina Circuit’s expert instructors will lift the lid on what it takes to be an expert racer, offer insights into each track section and revealing all the tricks of the trade, including correct gear selections and speeds.

For those who like get up close and personal with the drivers and their race-prepared cars, don’t miss out on the Garage Tour. Starting from 12:45pm on Friday, visitors can get the chance to get behind the scenes of a busy racing pit garage and see how the grid magic happens.

A range of Yas Marina Circuit Karting or Driving Experience prizes will be up for grabs in the Pit Stop Challenge. Taking place in Suite 6 of the Paddock, the Pit Stop Challenge pits competitors against each other and the clock in a race to see who can change a tyre the fastest. Perfect for teams or individuals, do you have what it takes to take the podium and the prizes in this fiendishly pressured technical competition?

With a general admission tickets for the action-packed schedule of events starting from only AED55 per person, it’s great value for all members of the family. Racing begins at 09:00 on Friday 1 February.
