Burjeel Hospital celebrates “Zayed” first baby born on UAE’s 47th National Day
The festivities at the Burjeel Hospital were enhanced as Dr Sausan Abdul Rahman, Consultant – Obstetrics and Gynecology, welcomed the new babies into the world

United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, 2nd December 2018: Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi’s premier healthcare facility, had some very special guests arriving on UAE’s 47th National Day 2018. Dr. Sausan Abdul Rahman, Consultant – Obstetrics and Gynecology at Burjeel Hospital successfully carried out 3 C-section deliveries on this special occasion.

The first baby in UAE was born at the Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi on December 2, at 12:00 am. The baby, named Zayed, was born to Saeed Lazam Musallam Salam Almenhalli and Ohod Nasser Mohammed Al Hemyari.

The families of the newborns were excited that their babies shared this special day with the country of their birth. They thanked Allah for delivering their babies safely and in good health. They also thanked the Burjeel Hospital team of professionals for the care and hospitality they were shown.

The families were ecstatic that they now have 2 reasons to celebrate as their child came into the world on UAE’s National Day.
Saeed Lazam Musallam Salam Almenhalli, father of baby Zayed said, “Ot is a matter of great pride for us that our little boy shares his birthday with the National Day of our great nation. The UAE has created an environment of tolerance and peace for everyone living here – Emiratis and expats – and this is what makes this country unique and beautiful. Our happiness has increased with the birth of our little Zayed on this auspicious day.”

But the fact that these babies were born on National Day makes the occasion even more special, both for the parents and the team at our hospital.
