URTH BY NABZ&G HOSTS CHEF ZENDY-CURATED POP-UP DINNER FOR ‘WORLD VEGAN DAY’
Award-winning JLT restaurant offers AED99 feast to mark global festival
Dubai, UAE: 28 October, 2018: In celebration of World Vegan Day – Thursday, November 1, 2018 – Urth by Nabz&G, the leading wholefood restaurant in JLT, is hosting plant-based chef Zendy Marsam at a special vegan dinner party highlighting her specially-crafted dishes with naturally-sourced ingredients and rich flavours.
It’s already proved so popular, the three-course menu is also being offered on Friday, November 2. Avid Chef and social media influencer Zendy says: “It’s been so much fun collaborating with Urth by Nabz&G for World Vegan Day. I’ve always loved eating at Urth and curating this special menu with Nabz&G has been a total joy. My dishes for this event are some of my best and most tasty.“
Chef Zendy, a food blogger (@FlavorsbyZendy) and recipe developer, is internationally renowned for her stylish and flavoursome take on vegan recipes. She loves creating and sharing plant-based recipes on social media, helping people transition to a vegan lifestyle. She perceives her role as creating #FoodForOurFuture.
Urth co-founders Nabih (Nabz) Al Momaiz and Ghalia (G) Alul expressed their excitement at hosting Chef Zendy at their trendy Cluster J outlet, saying: ”It has been truly inspiring working closely with this plant-based chef who has a lot to offer.”
The menu, curated by Chef Zendy, will include authentic wholefood, plant-based, oil- and gluten-free dishes that have been ”veganised“ but are still popping with bold flavours.
Book a seat now for AED99 per person, and you can indulge in treats such as jackfruit rendang, a typical Indonesian curry traditionally cooked with beef; a tongue-tantalising Thai pomelo kaffir lime salad, and irrisistable desserts including chocolate chili tart. The menu will also include a couple of items from Urth’s popular recipes, such as a classy truffle mushfroom risotto served with truffle cashew cream, and their best-selling raw lemon cheesecake.
This event, supported by Dubai Vegan Days, is in line with Urth’s mission to bridge the gap between gourmet and communal dining, where clients get to enjoy a beautifully crafted meal in a cosy, informal setting.
“We want foodies to have a gourmet experience but at the same time feel comfortable to share their meal with others who love and appreciate food,” says Nabih.
