Yogafest returns to Dubai Internet City this November 2018
Dubai’s favourite festival for yoga and wellbeing is back with even more to offer
Dubai, UAE | 04 October 2018: The Middle East’s most loved and well attended wellness festival Yogafest Dubai is ready to return this November 15-17, 2018. Taking place on the lake side grasses of the Dubai Internet City Amphitheatre, the 7th year of this festival will see more than 5,000 enthusiasts from around the region coming together to explore free-of-charge sessions centered around yoga, wellness and as always, sustainability.
“We are so excited to bring back the region’s most-loved wellness festival. This year we will be offering over 150 classes and workshops by local and international teachers, as well as vendors and partners showcasing the best of what Dubai has to offer from studios to retail and more,” says festival founder and organiser Elaine Kelly.
Highlights include classes in yoga to pilates, dance, qi gong and meditation. Those interested in learning can participate in talks and workshops on healthy living, family nutrition and yoga philosophy.
New for 2018 is the “Shakti Tent” dedicated specifically for women and ladies-only classes as well as the “Al Jalila Foundation Tent” for people of determination. This year all the donations received by attendees will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation to support the Ta’alouf. 100% of funds received will provide parents with 6 weeks of intensive training to help them better support their children with learning disabilities.
“Al Jalila Foundation is delighted to be the charity beneficiary for Yogafest Dubai and the wonderful opportunity that the event provides to showcase our Ta’alouf programme to the Yoga community. Since 2013, with the generous support of our partners and donors, we have been able to provide our flagship programme to more than 580 parents and seen the positive impact that it has had on their children of determination, their families and their communities. Events have the power to amplify our message and we are immensely grateful to be part of the 2018 edition of Yogafest.” said Hajar Ali, Director of Strategy & Programs, Al Jalila Foundation.
Families can also enjoy the festival in the dedicated Family Tent, with kids yoga classes as well as prenatal yoga, mother and daughter yoga, family yoga, and partner yoga among others.
At the heart of the festival is the dedication to sustainability. Attendees can shop unique products from a range of eco-friendly vendors – so if yoga leggings made from recycled plastic or homemade aromatherapy sprays are up your street then you’ll feel right at home.
Ammar Al Malik, Executive Director of Dubai Internet City, said, “Dubai Internet City is pleased to partner with the Yoga Fest for the seventh consecutive year. The event is testimony to our commitment to creating a holistic community that extends well beyond the business sphere. We look forward to a successful event and invite all our partners and community members to join us in making this yet another successful initiative.”
Yogafest is donation-based, and online registration to attend is required. Attendees are requested to confirm their attendance via the link on the main website.
The festival runs for two full days from 9am to 6pm. The two-day ticket allows you to access any class in our seven tents. Spaces are on a first come first seated basis. Healthy food is available to purchase in the food court.
All is welcome; Yogafest Dubai is dog-friendly too!
