Hala China Launches Chinese Film Week in Dubai, Chinese TV and Movie Stars Grace Red Carpet
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 02 October 2018: Hala China, a joint initiative by Meraas and Dubai Holding, hosted a glamorous evening to mark the official launch of the Chinese Film Week in Dubai.
Organised with the support of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai, the evening drew the participation of Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hala China and Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations – Centre at Emirates Airline, Her Excellency Li Lingbing, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai, His Excellency Saeed M. AlNabouda, Acting Director General ,Dubai Culture & Arts Authority Jamal Al Sherif, Chairman of the Dubai Film & TV Commission and members of the Board of Directors of Hala China.
The red carpet welcomed some of the biggest names in the Chinese TV and movie industry such as Zhang Jiani, star of the smash-hit period drama The Story of Yanxi Palace and TV series Here To Heart, as well as Fang Hua actress Miao Miao, The Way We Were actor Wang Tianchen and Dragon star Li Xiaoran. New Horizon star Hu Bing, Crying Out in Love actress Yang Tongshu, and celebrity couple Lin Yongjian and Zhou Dongqi were also present.
Following the arrival of the stars, the Chinese Film Week in Dubai was launched and the movies that will be screened through the week introduced to the audience. The Cultural Envoy Awards then took centre stage, followed by a spectacular performance by Chinese star Li Xiangxiang.
Launched earlier this year, the Hala China initiative aims to host an annual calendar of exciting events that showcase Dubai and the UAE’s cultural richness and diversity to tourists from the People’s Republic of China.
