Buckle up for an exciting journey with Mr Pips at the
British Orchard Nursery Summer Camp

Children will go on a quest for exploration to learn about land, water, air and outer space over a period of 10 weeks!

May 13th, 2018; Dubai, UAE: The much-awaited summer break is around the corner and what could be more exciting than going on an ultimate journey of exploration with Mr Pips, this summer!

British Orchard Nursery (BON) is back with its annual summer camp – this time revolving around the theme of exploration. Titled ‘the adventures of Mr Pips’ – the 10-week summer camp will give children the chance to accompany Mr Pips on his journey of exploration, that will unleash unique concepts about land, water, air and outer space through interesting experiential activities, books and illustrations.

The tiny tots will spend the first couple of weeks learning all about under the sea in a fun and creative manner. They will have the opportunity to get close to marine mammals and go behind the scenes and into the wonderful and mystical world of water. The second half of the fun-filled summer camp will focus on outer space and astronauts related themes and activities. From knowing more about the Earth’s atmosphere to the outer reaches of the solar system, this hands-on camp will surely send children on a quest for exploration with comets, planets, stars and more all waiting to be discovered.

BON will also conduct one science experiment per week related to each of the concepts, so children can interact with the world around them, both inside and outside the classroom. Additionally, as a CSR initiative, all the BON branches in the UAE will use recycled materials to transform the nursery into different areas as per the theme, including an underwater room, land room, earth room, outer space room, etc. so children get a first-hand experience when they visit these specially decorated areas.
“The idea is to basically focus on the seven areas of learning including communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design. These areas combine to make up the skills, knowledge and experiences that babies and children acquire as they grow, learn and develop,” said Ms Vandana Gandhi, Founder and CEO at British Orchard Nursery.

“Each week at the BON summer camp will be different and nothing less than a sheer roller-coaster ride. Children will record their adventures and learnings in a scrapbook in the form of arts, crafts and photographs to take home memories of a lifetime. We also conduct a parent and teacher training program, where volunteers and learners who are training at our centers will have the chance to come and join the camp and teach the children,” she added.
