Demoiselle by Galvin launches its collection of breakfast Prix Fix menu

Dubai, April 1st 2018 – Demoiselle by Galvin, the fashionable and homely Bistro by the internationally-acclaimed Galvin Brothers, launches their essential twin Prix Fix menus, delivering a selection of both, rich and comforting OR nutritious and wholesome breakfast selections, making Demoiselle by Galvin the ideal breakfast spot to start any morning the right way.

Tucked away in the heart of City Walk, Demoiselle by Galvin invites guests this season to its humble abode to indulge in the art of the ideal Parisian breakfast. The Prix Fix menu introduces its first course with a choice of freshly baked flaky croissants. A healthy alternative is offered with the Soy milk soaked muesli, toasted seeds and coconut water jelly. One can also opt for a health-centric salad from the detox menu and enjoy the Natural yogurt with extra virgin olive oil, zaatar, Cucumber, datterino tomatoes & flat bread.

Main courses take the centre-stage with the delicious options of Oeuf Royale, Oeuf Bénédicte or Oeuf Florentine. For the health fanatics, mains from the detox menu calls for, Egg white omelette with steamed asparagus, mushrooms & spinach, a delicacy that should not be missed.

To complete the balanced breakfast; Demoiselle brings the sweet-treats out, offering a choice of a fresh fruit platter or deliciously soft pain perdu to eat in or take-away. Guests can take-their-pick and enjoy along with Demoiselle’s specially curated tea and coffee offerings in the welcoming and cosy venue.

Galvin Restaurants is a family run restaurant collection founded in 2005. Today, the collection consists of ten French restaurants in the United Kingdom and includes Bistrot de Luxe in Marylbourne and Galvin La Chapelle in Spitalfields in London. In 2016, the bijou bistro upgraded its location in Harrods from the Food Hall to the Conservatory on the 4th floor, offering quality French cuisine combined with Galvin’s warm, friendly hospitality. The perfect dining solution to local shoppers and visiting guests alike, Demoiselle is known for its light lunch dishes, trendy afternoon tea and gourmet desserts. Opened in early 2017, Demoiselle’s luxurious simplicity and gourmet cuisine made its way to Dubai and is the Galvin brothers’ first venture into the Middle East.

Chris Galvin
Chris worked with Antony Worrall Thompson at The Ritz Hotel and at L’Escargot before joining Conran Restaurants where he worked directly with Sir Terence Conran for 10 years; opening
a number of restaurants, including the Orrery, which saw him achieve a coveted Michelin star in 2000. In 2003, Chris was appointed by Jeremy King and Chris Corbin to open the much-acclaimed Wolseley. Chris teamed up with his brother Jeff in 2005 and together, over the following years, they opened Galvin Bistrot de Luxe, Galvin at Windows, Galvin La Chapelle and Galvin HOP (former Café A Vin), Galvin Demoiselle in Harrods, and Galvin Brasserie de Luxe and The Pompadour by Galvin in Edinburgh, Galvin at The Athenaeum in Piccadilly, Galvin at Centurion in St Albans and their first pub Galvin Green Man in Essex.

Jeff Galvin
Inspired by his older brother Chris, Jeff started his career at the same small neighbourhood restaurant where Chris once washed the pots for Antony Worrall Thompson. Jeff joined The Savoy hotel as a young Commis under the direction of Anton Edelman before progressing to the role of Junior Sous Chef at David Levin’s Michelin-starred Capital Hotel, working for renowned Chef Philip Britten. In 1994 he was appointed Sous Chef by Nico Ladenis at Chez Nico at 90 Park Lane and was part of the kitchen brigade that achieved the elusive third Michelin star. He joined Chris for the opening of Orrery in Marylebone in 1997 before being reunited with David Levin as Head Chef at The Greenhouse restaurant in Mayfair. His Michelin-starred experience led to his appointment at Marco Pierre White’s three Michelin-starred Oak Room, where he was Head Chef under the direction of Robert Reid, and in May 2000, Marco appointed him as Executive Chef at L’Escargot, which held a Michelin star for five years.

Luigi Vespero
As the Executive Chef of Galvin Restaurants, Dubai, Naples native Luigi oversees the menus and kitchens of Demoiselle by Galvin and Galvin Dubai in City Walk. His experience in the Middle East includes senior roles within the Jumeirah Group at Emirates Towers. Luigi became a part of the Galvin family in 2010, and spent three years on the opening of Galvin la Chapelle as well as the growth of Galvin Bistrot de Luxe, both in London. Prior to joining the Galvins, Luigi worked under Gordon Ramsay and also managed UK institution The Wolseley.

Ryan Harris
Ryan Harris is the Executive Pastry Chef for Demoiselle by Galvin and Galvin Dubai, creating and delivering a range of hand-made bread, viennoiserie, and extravagant desserts for the Galvin’s first two ventures outside the United Kingdom. Born in the US state of Maryland, Ryan was mentored by Chef Paul Heyward before taking on an assistant executive pastry chef role under Chef Jean-Georges at the Atlantis, Bahamas. Ryan’s expertise in pastry was further developed at the Madinat Jumeirah and Jumeirah Emirates Towers, before he joined the Galvins to oversee all pastry aspects of their first two ventures outside the UK – Demoiselle
by Galvin and Galvin Dubai.
