Dr. Amaya Carreras, Obstetrician/Gynecologist at German Medical Center, breaks down myths about pregnancy and delivery
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: German Medical Center FZ-LLC, a Dubai-based specialized healthcare facility with remarkable staff committed to providing top-notch medical services and ensuring a satisfactory experience for patients, sheds light on myths and concerns regarding delivery for women.
German Medical Center indicates the importance of considering the issue of childbirth with obstetricians from the time of conception, as it is common practice for most specialists in the region offer elective caesarian sections as the sole option for delivery. Recovery from a vaginal delivery is usually faster and the risks are lower. In contrast, cesarean section involves the surgical risks in addition to those associated with childbirth, and from two caesarean sections, it is not advised to attempt a vaginal delivery. Therefore, a third pregnancy will end up being necessarily an elective cesarean section.
Providing the right medical attention prenatal as well as post-partum, German Medical Center provides state-of-the-art technology to help women go through the process of delivery in a smooth, hassle-free manner.
“It is ideal to attempt natural birth for most women, but delivery methods are entirely case-based,” says Dr. Amaya Carreras, Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialist. “We must not forget that doctors are still trying to clarify with enough scientific evidence if it is more ‘healthy’ for women’s pelvic floor to deliver by cesarean section instead of having a vaginal delivery.”
Certain symptoms to bear in mind during the last trimester of pregnancy are that in the case of loss of blood similar to a period, regular contractions every 3-5 minutes, no fetal movements for more than 1 hour, and the rupture of the bag of water, it is advisable to go in emergency to the obstetrician in order to be examined.
