New Downtown dining experience to launch in early 2018

Dubai, U.A.E, February 2018: Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre announces the launch of MINA Brasserie, a new modern, lively brasserie for lunch and dinner, in partnership with award-wining American Chef Michael Mina.

The brasserie will be a new hotspot for the eclectic DIFC and Dubai crowd as it offers an elevated dining experience, serving beautifully craveable dishes that are both comforting and delicious in a lively, sophisticated environment.

The Taste
The menu will feature a variety of hearty Brasserie style dishes by Chef Michael Mina and his team of talented chefs. Ingredients will be carefully sourced for seasonal seafood, meat and fish complemented by a decadent selection of desserts.  Highlights will include: za’taar salmon and caviar with shallot potato cake, pickled onion and cucumber yogurt; Michael Mina’s tuna tartare with pine nuts, garlic, mint and sesame-habanero oil; beets and burrata with toasted pistachio, quinoa pilaf and buckwheat crouton; phyllo-crusted Dover sole with brown butter-caper sauce; and wood-fired lamb chops. Chef Michael Mina and his team of tastemakers are driven by passion, innovation and the commitment to creating phenomenal food. MINA Brasserie will represent the very best of Chef Mina’s gastronomical integrity, in the foodie paradise of Dubai.

The Vibe
Guests of MINA Brasserie will be welcomed by a fun and dynamic environment, elegant yet informal, timeless yet modern, warm, sexy and sophisticated. The space will allow for private dinners and larger groups to graze on delicious sharing plates throughout the day or into the night. The outdoor terrace will come alive with lounge seating, lush green trees and plants to give the brasserie an enticing warmth.

The Bar
Like any much-loved brasserie but more, the gleaming golden bar will feature a collection of classics, with an emphasis on traditional aperitifs and hard-to-find spirits from around the world. MINA Brasserie will celebrate the history of cocktails and preserve the practice of well-made thoughtful drinks, bringing an honest addition to the Dubai cocktail scene. The talented team of bartenders will restore guests’ spirit with their flair and love of service, warmth and knowledgeable nature. The in-depth wine list will feature special library collections from Burgundy, Bordeaux and California, while the fresh juices will be hand-squeezed and the tinctures, bitters, shrubs and elixirs will be made in-house.

The Design
Bringing the dynamics of adored brasseries to Dubai, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (MBDS) has sought inspiration from the elegance and sophistication of European design, as well as the contemporary personality of Michael Mina and Four Seasons Hotel DIFC. Entering through the outdoor terrace, guests will instantly feel alive yet at ease. A pergola strewn with brass tear-drop pendant lights, verdant planting and free-standing trees makes this area of the restaurant feel private and comfortable. Timber slatted table tops with rattan chairs and benches, all upholstered in blue patterned fabric, are accompanied by brass and glass lanterns and wall lights.

Moving through to the main restaurant area, guests will be struck by the glass chandeliers and blue and white marble patterned flooring. A mixture of banquets and free-standing seating in blue leather with accents of brass and stud detailing reflects the welcoming feel of the terrace. A sense of privacy is created through the clever use of brass and rippled glass screens, which are positioned between the tables. Low-level lighting crafted from beveled glass provides a warming and cosy glow – an ideal setting for socialising with friends.  A striking bar takes centre stage with its hammered antique brass front and calacatta marble top. Individual bar lamps lend a soft glow while dark timber panelled walls with mirror detailing enliven the space and ensure it feels light and airy. A collection of artwork by local artists nods to the history and heritage of brasserie culture and completes the look.

“We are pleased to be able to continue our partnership with Four Seasons Hotel DIFC, and to be working with the talented Martin Brudnizki to open MINA Brasserie,” says Chef Mina.  “I’m excited for the beautiful new space and menu, and think we will be able to offer our guests an exciting new experience in the DIFC.”

Carlo Stragiotto, General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel DIFC, says, “Since opening the Hotel just over a year ago, we have spent a lot of time getting to know our guests and we very much look forward to sharing our new concept. It is a pleasure to continue our partnership with Chef Michael Mina and his team, who share the same passion for good food and hospitality as we do at Four Seasons.”

MINA Brasserie will open February 2018 – premiere will be confirmed at a later date.
